Dr Iqbal Hussain

Dr. Iqbal Hussain is a Consultant Physician and Geriatrician based in Sydney, Australia, with extensive experience in the comprehensive care of older adults.

He completed his medical degree at Dhaka Medical College, Bangladesh, and undertook his internship and residency in the United Kingdom. After moving to Australia, Dr. Hussain completed his training in Internal Medicine in Sydney, followed by advanced training in Geriatric Medicine at Concord and Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospitals. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2016.

Dr. Hussain currently works as a Geriatrician and General Physician at Auburn Hospital. In addition, he provides private consultations for older patients to support healthy and independent living in the community.

He is also actively involved in medical education and research, with publications in both geriatric and internal medicine. Dr. Hussain serves as Co-Discipline Lead in Medicine at the Auburn Clinical School, University of Notre Dame Australia, where he contributes to the training and mentorship of future medical professionals.
