Dr Neeru Agarwal

Consultant Nephrologist

Dr. Agarwal is a dedicated, compassionate, and patient-centred Nephrologist who supports patients and their families through every stage of their kidney health journey. She completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales and worked across several major hospitals in Sydney as a Junior Medical doctor before undertaking Renal Advanced Training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She then pursued a Clinical Fellowship at Hammersmith Hospital in London, gaining subspecialty experience in autoimmune diseases affecting the kidney and kidney transplantation. She currently practises as a private nephrologist at Dublin Street Specialist Centre and serves as an Honorary Visiting Medical Officer at Concord Repatriation General Hospital. Dr Agarwal is fluent in English and Hindi.

Dr Agarwal has a special interest in the management of diabetic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, autoimmune kidney disorders, hypertension, and all forms of chronic kidney disease, with a strong commitment to evidence-based treatment, early intervention, and improving patients’ quality of life. She collaborates closely with local hospitals and healthcare teams to provide seamless continuity of kidney care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Alongside clinical work, Dr Agarwal is completing a PhD at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre, University of Sydney, focusing on improving understanding and outcomes in rare kidney diseases such as glomerulonephritis. She is an active member of the International Society of Nephrology (ISN-ACT Fellow) and contributes to global kidney research initiatives. She is also passionate about medical education, regularly teaching medical students, and is currently completing her Clinical Teaching Fellowship through the University of Sydney.
